At FIU's Center for the Advancement of Teaching, we partner with faculty to support the continuous development of their teaching practice. Whether you are designing a new course, trying a new instructional approach, exploring the use of AI, or reflecting on student feedback, CAT provides resources, programming, and consultation services tailored to your goals and teaching context.

CAT's workshops, institutes, and specialized programs engage faculty as active learners. Through reflection, collaboration, and course-based application, participants gain practical knowledge and leave with tangible teaching products and strategies.
CAT provides opportunities for faculty to connect around the shared work of teaching. Through book groups, faculty chats, conferences, and other community events, faculty engage in informal learning, exchange ideas, and build relationships that support ongoing growth and innovation in teaching.
